President George W. Bush: The First Tee's Honorary Chair Talks to Golf Channel

President George W. Bush, held a private question-and-answer session with the 32 members of the Outstanding Participant Summit at The First Tee 2013 Network Meeting in Nashville, Tenn.

In 2011, former President George W. Bush was named The First Tee’s honorary chair. He succeeded his father, former President George H. W. Bush, who served as The First Tee’s honorary chair since the organization’s inception in 1997.

As honorary chair, President Bush provides leadership and support of The First Tee’s mission to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.

Recently, President Bush sat down with Golf Channel‘s Jimmy Roberts to talk about his involvement with The First Tee.
