The world has changed a lot in the last 25 years. Our kids are growing in new environments that are demanding more from them and therefore more from us. First Tee is in the midst of a multi-year re-investment to modernize and enhance the organization. From refreshing our curriculum, leveraging new technology, and reinvesting in diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, we’ve been writing our own growth story.
As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we recognize that every one of us plays a role in lifting up our youth – partners, donors, coaches, volunteers, and staff. And we collectively commit as an organization to empowering and connecting with youth in ways that work for them.
Our vision for the future includes reaching more teens, providing greater access to programs, and retaining kids to stay in the program with us longer so that they are empowered with strong character and life skills critical for success in school, career and in their communities.
We’re enhancing four key areas of the business to achieve this:
- Programs & Curriculum: We are evolving our curriculum to ensure our programs remain relevant to today’s youth, which empowers us to reach more kids with impactful experiences.
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: We have a renewed focus on providing opportunities for kids and families in underserved and underrepresented communities, especially seeing themselves reflected in the makeup of First Tee coaches and leaders.
- Technology & Data: We will leverage technology to increase connectivity to kids and their families, better connect kids with their coaches, provide 24/7 access to First Tee Program elements and better understand our impact.
- Management & Operations: The new Charles Schwab Challenge Grant program, which has a six-year horizon, will strengthen chapter fundraising practices and increase revenue allowing them to support staff expansion.
