PURE Insurance Championship

PURE Insurance Championship

The PURE Insurance Championship is an official PGA TOUR Champions event at Pebble Beach Golf Links on the Monterey Peninsula, the tournament pairs 81 juniors of First Tee with a PGA TOUR Champions player and two amateurs.  To be selected, juniors are measured in both golf proficiency and life skills knowledge. The tournament is televised nationally on Golf Channel.

For one week, legends of the game mentor the leaders of tomorrow.

Chris Meyers

In 2014, First Tee alumnus, Chris Meyers made one of the most impressive shots in Pebble Beach history during his time at the PURE Insurance Championship. Now he reflects on First Tee’s impact and his time teaching golf to kids in Kenya.

Chevron Shoot Out for STEM Scholars

During the PURE Insurance Championship, six teams consisting of one PGA TOUR Champions player paired with a First Tee participant compete for a $100,000 that will go to scholarships. Scholarships will support Stem scholars through the challenge at PURE.
