This all-girls event will focus on leadership development, remaining active in the game of golf, learning the value/impact of volunteerism, and recognizing the importance of teamwork. Applicants will be asked to define the people or circumstances that ‘drive’ them to take on a position of leadership and describe how they plan to apply those principles in their life. The academy will take place in the city of Detroit, MI, and participants will have the opportunity to experience the Solheim Cup in Toledo, OH in 2021.

Selection
A total of 24 female participants will be selected from the chapter network for the four day academy experience. Participants will submit, essays, activities chart and a chapter letter of recommendation.
How to Participate
This event is only available to teens involved in chapters of The First Tee. Most of the events and programs have a selection process that includes an application reviewed by a committee. Parents, if you want your child to participate, please inquire at your chapter.
